Christmas Home Tour 2017 – Kitchen

Welcome to my last post of my Christmas Home Tour featuring our kitchen!  I have really enjoyed putting these posts together and I appreciate you stopping by to see some of my favorite Christmas decorations this year.  Having only started this blog a few months, I have learned so much and hope some of what I am sharing is meaningful and helpful to you!  To see some of the other posts in the tour, click on these links.

Christmas Home Tour 2017 – Christmas Trees

As I sit here writing, the snow is falling and it now appears that we will have a white Christmas.  Being born and raised in Texas, having any amount of snow on the ground on Christmas Day is truly special!!  Because of the snow, it is especially “beginning to look a lot like Christmas” around here!

Christmas Home Tour

When I designed our kitchen renovation, my goal was to create a neutral space that could be a nice backdrop to any decor I pull together for the seasons, special holidays or events that I host.  Creating these looks all started with my plan to implement a rustic, winter theme (some casual and some fancy) throughout our home this year.

Christmas Home Tour – Kitchen Island Centerpiece

For this area, I wanted to create a large centerpiece and one that is easily movable.  Most days, I cook at least one large meal, so it was important that centerpiece not be in the way.  This is precisely why I chose this large tray to build it on so it could be pushed aside when needed.  My island is 16 feet long, so it needed to be quite large.  To see how I put this together, click here.

Butler’s Pantry

In the butler’s pantry, I put together a super easy vignette using an antique bucket, a mixture of garland and pine cones. I purchased the fresh greenery from Trader Joe’s and the adorable rustic votive holders from Big Lots!

Christmas Home Tour – Breakfast Room

Moving into this breakfast room (I have another one not shown here), I continued the rustic, winter theme.  A few weeks ago, I posted the details on my full  Rustic Winter Christmas Table Setting which is worth a look!

Finally, I love utilizing apothecary jars in my kitchen.  Here, I used them to hold my sugar, flour and kosher salt.  To give them a bit of holiday flair, I simply added fresh flowers, a few ornaments, and a holiday scented candle.  Super festive!

Thanks for stopping by today! As I mentioned earlier, if you would like to see the details of the other Christmas Home Tour posts, click on these links below.  In these posts, there are links to shop some of the looks I have shared and see the details of how the specific designs were created.

Your setup is beautiful! I’m looking for your exact Santa, he just completes the look. Can you help? Model number or Company name? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Hi! I bought him years ago and my only recollection is that it may have been from Michael’s. In that post, I sourced a few similar Santa’s that would provide a similar look. I hope that helps!
