We are co-hosting a baby shower for very special family friends this weekend at our home. And, IT’S A GIRL!! Oh, happy day! It was a must to figure out a signature cocktail for this couple’s shower. So, the testing started. I must say that this was not the toughest thing to do as a blogger…test out cocktail recipes!! I am excited to share this Vodka Charleston Fizz that I came up with for the party.

*This post is brought to you as part of a collaboration with St. Elder Artisanal Liqueur and Greenbar Distillery. The images, thoughts, and words are mine. I want to thank you all for your support of the sponsors that allow me to continue to create free content for my readers and share products that I truly love and use in our daily lives.

I have known the Baby Momma since she was born and hosted her rehearsal dinner in our backyard several years ago. I went to high school with her father and went to Baylor with her mother and even had the great pleasure of being in her parent’s wedding. We are all from Dallas and really share a passion for entertaining so it is so special to be doing this party together!
Vodka Charleston Fizz with Rosemary

Since “we” are having a girl, blush pink is the main color we are working with. So, doesn’t it make sense that the signature cocktail to go along with the theme?! After researching “pink cocktails” on Pinterest, a Charleston Fizz seemed to foot the bill, but I wanted to put my own spin on it. Being vodka drinkers, I decided to use vodka rather than gin, which is the typical liqueur used in a Charleston Fizz.

As vodka enthusiasts, I was excited to try a new one to use for this recipe. This Greenbar Distillery TRU Vodka did not disappoint! It is light and clean, with a smooth finish. The secret is their combination of spirits made from Midwestern wheat and California pomegranate…all organic and gluten-free!
When creating a signature cocktail for an event, I like to keep the main ingredients of the traditional drink intact. In this case, a Charleston Fizz typically includes Grapefruit Juice and Elderberry Liqueur. For the liqueur, I switched it up a bit by using a Pink Grapefruit Liqueur They also usually include Tarragon, but I decided to use Rosemary instead.

This St. Elder Pamplemousse Liqueur is made in small batches and will complement a variety of cocktails with bright flavors of pink grapefruit. The tanginess helps create a tart and fresh taste for this cocktail.

Admittedly, I have another reason for wanting to work on a cocktail recipe to share with you. I recently added these gorgeous Lenox Trianna Beverage Glasses to our glassware collection and I am so excited to use them for a festive cocktail. You can see how I used them on our Simple Spring Green and White Tablescape HERE.

Do you watch Southern Charm?! I must admit that I am a huge fan and am now dying to go visit Charleston! It really seems to be the epitome of charm and southern class. Shep and Cameron are my favorites on the show and I cannot wait to see their new season. That is one of the reasons I thought it would be fun to create my own version of the famous cocktail. I hope you enjoy my new Vodka Charleston Fizz with fresh Rosemary!

Sadly, have two rooms ready now. 🙁 You would love this one!!
I think you mean elderflower, not elderberry. They’re different and every other recipe I’ve looked at for a Charleston fizz say elderflower liqueur, like St. Germain. Looking forward to trying these today!
You could be right! I will look it up! Thanks for letting me know. 🙂 XO
