Hi, my friends! I so excited to debut our new breakfast room table today. The second it arrived, I was chomping at the bit to set it. Once I set it, I was inspired to show you some Simple Moody Fall Tablescape Ideas. So, I decided to give you some ideas on how to do a similar tablescape in three different ways. Also, l will share other favorites at the end of the post, so stay tuned!

The inspiration for these tablescapes started with my new Lenox Seasons Radiance Plates in Dusk. The moody nature of these plates is perfect for fall and/or Halloween.

This is a sponsored post but all of my comments and opinions are my own.
Simple Moody Fall Tablescape Ideas
Once I created this first tablescape, I decided it would be easy to change out a few elements to create more totally different looks. As I said, I am enjoying our new breakfast room table with a Carrara marble top. With Halloween around the corner, a “Moody” table setting felt like a natural fit.

With the new light surface of our table, a black, grey, and white theme made perfect sense. The grey and black tones of the accent plates really ties everything together. For these table settings, there are several items that I used for all three tablescapes.
Table #1: Simple Moody Fall Tablescape – Black, Grey and White
The foundation for this tablescape and the rest of them is the dark grey Halloween netting. I bought mine at The Dollar Tree, but you can also find them typically at your local grocery store or any store that carries Halloween decorations.

For the centerpiece, I used two pieces of the fabric (for a whopping cost of $2!) and let them fall off the end of the table for added drama.

Candlelight can certainly add to the “moodiness” of a setting. Hence, the choice to use black hurricanes. All I had to do after I placed them was to add some fall decorations to either side to complete the look.
For the place settings, I used the wood grain chargers to add a little warmth and contrast. And, my twig flatware was perfect to use here.

For the glassware, I kept it simple but color-coordinated…shade of grey. My grey wine glasses started the show and was topped off with our new Lenox Valencia All-Purpose Beverage Glass in Smoke. Super elegant, yet “moody”!

Table #2: Black, White, and Gold
I don’t know if you noticed that there is a gold accent that flows through the Radiance accent plates. This is what inspired me to add gold tones to this new tablescape. It really warmed things up, don’t you think?!

For the centerpiece, I simply changed out a lot of the pumpkins and added quite a bit of gold votive holders to create more candlelight. Next, I added in the harvest gold Potted Goldenrod Arrangements for more touches of gold.

FYI…I would say that 90% of the pumpkins I have used on all of these tables are from Hobby Lobby or Target, so it is hard to link them for you. I have linked several other options throughout this post. 🙂

For the place settings, I simply changed out the chargers, flatware, and napkins. For continuity, I used the spider web napkin rings for all three table settings.

For the glassware, I only swapped out the wine glasses to feature our gold/amber wine glasses. I love the golden tones throughout this table!

Table #3: Black and Orange for Halloween
For this post, I couldn’t resist transitioning at least one of these tablescapes to something that would work great for Halloween. For me, I prefer to stay away from Halloween decorations that are scary or ghoulish.

This is about as far as I will go when it comes to decorating for Halloween, especially now that our kids are in college and away from home. Sometimes, just using a black and orange color palette can help create the feel of Halloween without going crazy.

For the centerpiece, I only changed out some of the pumpkins and added a few orange votive holders.

For the place settings, changing out the napkins and adding an orange bowl was all it took to coordinate the table.

Chargers, spider web napkin rings, dinner plates, accent plates, flatware, and glassware were all from the original table setting…no changes there.
