Greetings! It is finally November, so it is time to start planning for Thanksgiving and all of the upcoming holidays. Once Halloween is past us, I am in full swing! Today, I am sharing our Casual Evergreen Thanksgiving Table Setting for this year.

A week ago, I shared a new Easy and Budget-friendly Natural Fall Centerpiece and I liked it so much that I decided to go ahead and create a table setting to go with it. The centerpiece felt casual to me and I know my kids will be grateful if I keep things somewhat casual this year for Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is going to look different this year as it will with most of you. Less family and guests. It looks like we will only be having about ten this year so I will be setting two tables and spreading the chairs out to keep everyone comfortable.

Notice that I only have 6 chairs around our ten-foot table. That helps me provide a thanksgiving table…socially distanced!

~The Centerpiece~
To create the centerpiece above, I did a whole bunch of forging in my yard for the evergreens and pine cones. You can see all of the details in the post HERE. It guided all of my selections for the table setting.

As you can see, the color palette includes shades of greens and warm brown tones. This all feels so natural to me and perfect for Thanksgiving, plus…casual. Lately, these days have been so “casual” as I don’t make it out of my comfy clothes very often these days. Who is with me?!

~The Place Settings~
As I said above, the color palette of the centerpiece drove the design. I bought these plaid napkins at Pier1 years ago and I just love them for occasions like these. They do not carry them anymore but I have sourced similar ones (below) that would work great for a similar table setting.

In my humble opinion, PLAID = CASUAL! Plaid was a no-brainer. I love using napkins in unexpected ways. Because I angled the centerpiece, placing the napkins on a diagonal worked really well. The rattan chargers were a great fit because of the wood tones they offer.

For the napkins and napkin rings, neutral was the name of the game. For an added touch of natural greenery, I added fresh Rosemary from my garden to the napkin setup.

For the salad plates, I am reusing my new DenbyUSA Modus Salad Plates. They add such a nice soft, contemporary look to the table! You can see how I used them on this Neutral Fall Alfresco Dining Tablescape HERE.

For the glassware, I have been looking forward to use my Fern Etched Goblets and Wine Glasses. The fern pattern on these glasses is a perfect compliment to all of the natural greenery being utilized on this table setting. NOTE: They are on big time sale right now!

Next, I will work on showing you the second table that I will be setting and how I coordinated them for continuity. This way, our guests don’t feel like one table is more special than the other!

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the details of our first casual evergreen Thanksgiving table setting for this season. My kitchen table in our breakfast area is brand new so I am excited to dress her up for her first Thanksgiving!! 🙂 Are you getting ready for Thanksgiving yet?!
