My kids are home from college for the holidays, so I am over the moon over here! Today, I am sharing this simple White Woodsy Christmas Table Setting for our everyday dining now that they are at home. I set it for six since as we frequently might have an extra guest or two. If not, I just remove the two place settings on the ends of the table.

With our new marble table in our main breakfast room area, I felt that a winter white theme would be fun to work with. The color palette totally makes sense! Adding the woodsy elements really helps warm it up and gives the whole table an “alpine” feel.
White Woodsy Christmas Table Setting
Part of the reason for creating this woodsy Christmas table setting is that I had these three real birch containers leftover from a home tour I decorated for last year. I knew I wanted to keep them and reuse them somewhere in our home this season.
The Centerpiece
The birch containers are in three sizes so I was excited to create a layered look for the centerpiece…giving it a bit of an asymmetric feel.

I know you are probably saying…”How can you see over the large centerpiece arrangement?”…OR…”There doesn’t seem to be much room on the center of the table for food.”
Personal DISCLAIMER! I take the largest arrangement off of the table and place it on our 16-foot island while we eat to free up space and allow us to see the pretty and handsome faces across the table. The two smaller arrangements for the table are smaller than they look and do not obstruct any views. 🙂

For the flower arrangements, I just used an assortment of grocery store flowers with fresh cedar and yew from my yard. Fresh cedar is so great to work with for winter flower arrangements because it drapes so well!

They are “oozing” with winter greenery. There are so many other species you could use for similar arrangements…juniper, pine, spruce…you name it!
You can’t see the smallest one in the photos above so here it is…

To wrap up the centerpiece, I just added my glass cylinder vases from THE DOLLAR TREE (yes…I said The Dollar Tree!), filled them with water, and added a white floating candle (I keep them “in stock” all year long).

The Place Settings on our White Woodsy Christmas Table Setting
There are so many neat ways to give a table a “woodsy” or “alpine” feel. Starting off with my wood-grained chargers made perfect sense.

I also knew I wanted to feature my favorite Lenox Alpine Carved Accent Plates for the salad plates. They are perfect for any winter/holiday-themed table setting or for serving appetizers or dessert! They have a very slight grey tone to them which is why I used the subtle grey placemats.

And, what says “woodsy” more than pinecones?!

I just love how the napkin rings elevate the napkins on the place settings!

Glassware is essential to consider when you are setting a table. One of the reasons that I decided to feature my glass cylinder vases was to tie in with all of the glasses and crystal. My Denby White Modus Wine Glasses were perfect to complete the white woodsy look!

I finished off the glassware selection with my new Vintner Champagne Flutes from Williams Sonoma our Reidel Vinum Water Glasses.
