It is hard to believe that this Christmas season is now one for the books. As we are in the process of wrapping up this holiday season, now is a great time to plan ahead for next year! Not only am I sharing my favorite Christmas Trees of 2021 today, but I am also going to give you some suggestions to help you be more prepared for next year!
I started this tradition a several years ago. Because they have been so well received, I decided to keep the tradition going! For this year, again…a BIG WINNER (stay tuned to the end of the post to the BIG WINNER). These posts are my most viral on Pinterest! You can follow me on Pinterest HERE.
My Favorite Christmas Trees of 2020!
~ Mixed Metallics ~
Let’s start with the fun part…seeing all of these amazing trees! So many of these trees are from some of my favorite bloggers, which always makes putting this together so fun! I am dividing the trees into color schemes.

Any Christmas Tree favorites list should absolutely include the gorgeous designs by Randi Garrett. She was also one of the first bloggers I followed and she always delivers such stunning holiday inspirations for her readers. This year she added little touches of seafoam to her mixed metallic tree. You can see all of the glory of her Christmas decorations in her Christmas Home Tour HERE. I am dying over the little houses she used in this tree.

Now, onto one of Jennifer’s trees of Decor Gold Designs. She was also one of the first bloggers I started following and she never disappoints! She always does such a great job of coordinating her trees with the decor of her beautiful spaces! To see the whole post of her Sophisticated Christmas Tree in Blush and Gold. The details of her beautiful tree, click HERE.

Shauna of The House of Silver Lining is another master of Christmas Trees. I have featured her trees on all of my Favorite Christmas Tree posts! She has an amazing home nearby in Colorado Springs, Colorado that you must see! I absolutely adore how the simplicity of this tree in her living room!! Simple can be so elegant!

Another good friend, Karen, of Sanctuary Home Decor, made my list again this year and you will see why! We found each other on Instagram and she is definitely one to follow. Not only is she so talented and generous to share her two homes with us, but she has such a kind heart! The love the way she uses the metallic tones but then complimented them with touches of blue.

This lovely, simple tree feels so “earthy and natural”. I love the open, airy feel from this natural, minimalistic tree!

If you prefer a minimalist, modern look, then you will love this beautiful tree featuring copper, bronze, and other metallic tones. My friend, Tana of Your Marketing BFF, really nailed this one! I really love the streaming ribbon throughout the tree.

I am obsessed with Ashley’s Scandinavian-themed Christmas tree and the candlelight lights she used. This is just so magical…a show-stopper, for sure!

I am completely obsessed with this Amber and Black Christmas Tree by Craftberry Bush! She always does such a beautiful job coordinating her trees with the color palette of her living room. I just love the “earthy” feel of this tree!

My Favorite Christmas Trees of 2020!
~ Flocked Trees ~
My daughter had begged for years to have a flocked tree! So, a couple of years, I got on the flocked tree train and I am loving it! Here is my flocked tree for this year and it one of my favorites. Isn’t it OK for one of my trees to among my favorites?! Right?!

You can see all of the details of this tree in My Natural and Modern Christmas Home Tour.
I am absolutely loving everything about this flocked tree!

Putting a flocked tree in front of a dark wall is so stunning. The iridescent ornaments help give the tree such a lovely glow! NOTE: This is not the first time one of Kelley’s trees will show up on my list this year. Stay tuned!!

~ Traditional Colors ~
I absolutely love seeing Christmas trees decorated with the traditional colors of Christmas. I would consider that to be reds, greens, and blues. There are so many beautiful trees this season featuring combinations of these color.
There is really nothing more traditional that a Christmas Tree that features RED. Plus, red was “the color” of the season this year. Courtney nailed every detail of this beautiful traditional tree!

This gorgeous Red and White Christmas Tree by Handmade Farmhouse is divinely traditional! The layers of red are Christmas perfection!

This darling tree by Start at Home Decor is so festive! The red plaid ribbon really stands out on this tree!

Finally, moving onto Kelley Nan! Two of her trees made my favorites list, so she is my BIG WINNER…AGAIN! She has created so many magical trees throughout the years! For this tree in her living room, she featured red and gold so brilliantly!

Here is a close-up!

This is the tree she did in their master bedroom this year. I am absolutely loving the gold color palette she used here! Do you see why she is my BIG WINNER…AGAIN?!
Preparing now for next year’s trees…
There are so many things you can do now to prepare for next year. The first thing to do is find inspiration (hence this post!). Remember that “copy” is the best form of flattery!
Plan to use a lot of the elements you featured this year, but figure out ways to change them up a bit for next year. Maybe weed out some of the decorations that you have had for a while and add a few new elements. That is precisely what I did with our Classic Red and Gold Christmas Tree I put up in our dining room this year. Red was the new element that I featured in this year’s tree.

Our Classic Red and Gold Christmas Tree
Consider changing up one color on your tree. For example, if your tree was red and green this year, consider keeping one of those colors and then add in a new one or lose one. Last year, our living room tree was created with green and gold, and this year I used the same color palette but just added in the brown and copper tones to coordinate with my furnishings in this room.

Try to decide on a theme early so you can be acquiring elements that fit your theme throughout the year. This will also help spread out the spend, so to speak. Bonus!
Box up your ornaments by color so you can easily mix up your trees for next year. I use clear bins so I can easily pull the colors I want to use. Here are a few great options…
Shop your after season sales to pick up bargains in ornaments, gift wrapping and even to maybe pick up a new tree. I will be shopping for a new tree for our dining room and maybe another flocked tree this year. Here are a few that are on my wishlist…
Speaking of bargains, so many of my favorite Christmas Tree decorations and other Christmas decor are on sale and you can shop them here.
Thank you for stopping by to see my favorite Christmas Trees of 2021! I hope they are giving you inspiration for your tree or trees for next year. I would love to hear which one is your favorite in the comments below
Happy New Year!
