Friday Favorites – Coffee Table Books on Entertaining and Cooking

Hi there!  As a part of my new Friday Favorites posts, I started a new series a couple of weeks ago on my favorite coffee table books.  I have so many favorites that I decided to break them up into four of my top passions….home design, fashion design, entertaining and cooking, and books for the collector or enthusiast.  If you are stopping by after last week’s post, welcome back!  If you are new to this series, I hope you will enjoy it and stop back in.

This week, I am sharing my top 20 favorite coffee table books that focus on entertaining and cooking.  There are so many talented ladies and gentlemen out there that have given so much of their time and talent by sharing them through their books.

Friday Favorites – Coffee Table Books on Fashion Design

If you are visiting from last week, welcome back!  If you are new to my Friday Favorites series, welcome to you as well.  As a designer for over 25 years, I have collected and used coffee table books consistently through the years. I have featured them in my interior design projects, my staging projects and throughout my own home.  They are so versatile and can give insights to your guests into your passions and loves and things that make you happy or people that inspire you.  Today, I am sharing my favorite coffee table books on fashion design.

Friday Favorites – Coffee Table Books for Home Design

As a designer for over 25 years, I have collected and used coffee table books consistently in my interior design projects, my staging projects and throughout my own home.  They are so versatile and can give insights into your personal passions and loves.  Today, I am sharing my favorite coffee table books for home design.

A few days ago, a close friend called me over to her house to help her restyle their large coffee table and we got into a discussion about coffee table books and that is what inspired this post.  She told me why she had purchased the ones she had on her coffee table and that she struggled with finding new ones she would like.  So, this one is partly for her (Erin!)…

For me, there are basically four categories of books that I collect and love.  Because of my coffee table book obsession, there are too many to list in one post! I have decided to share my favorites by category in four separate posts as a part of my new Friday Favorites series.  The first two topics will focus on home design books and then fashion design books by some of my most admired designers.  Next, I will feature my favorite books on cooking and entertaining and finally, books for the collector or enthusiast.

Pruning and Enjoying Lilacs

I love this time of the year because every time I walk out into our backyard, I am overwhelmed with the amazing aromas in the air from our lilacs and blooming fruit trees.  It absolutely smells like there is a perfume in the air!  We were blessed to acquire 9 enormous lilac bushes when we purchased our property 4 years ago.  Accordingly, I have been doing lots of research on how to care for them.  So, today, I am going to share with you some suggestions about Pruning and Enjoying Lilacs and how to keep them flourishing.

Pruning and Enjoying Lilacs

Mother’s Day was yesterday, so I made this for our living room from cuttings from three of my bushes.  I like mixing the different varieties we have to add a little more interest!  I am sitting here looking at them now as I write this post.  You should smell how lovely it is in here!

Decorating for spring brings such optimism, color, and freshness.  Today, I am sharing some of the details around this lovely, inexpensive centerpiece I designed for a Mother’s Day Luncheon.  It was super easy and there are so many other variations you could create using the same concept for multiple applications, events or seasons.  Stay tuned to the end of the post for lots of suggestions!!

Spring is finally in full bloom here!  This is most assuredly one of my favorite times of the year.  The trees are popping with new leaves, the flowers are starting to bloom and the days are longer. Oh, happy days!  I love using natural elements from the great outdoors to help create a fresh, clean look.
