My parents live in Dallas, so I don’t get to be with my mother on Mother’s Day very often since I moved to Denver. This year, though, they are coming a few weeks before, so we will get to celebrate it with her a little early. My mother is an acclaimed hostess and they open their home very often for events, both large and small. She has most certainly been my most significant inspiration for my own passion for entertaining!
Hi there! I don’t know about you, but my master bathroom and bathtub are one of my favorite spots in my home to find respite, relaxation and unwind from the craziness of life. I find such solace and healing in my “tub time” so it is very important to me that my space be relaxing, peaceful and beautiful. Today, I am sharing a recent Master Bathroom Bathtub Refresh. I am also sharing some tips on how to make your bath time healthier for you!
Easter is just days away and I am still working on getting everything ready for Easter Sunday. We have had a couple of snowstorms in the last week, so it has definitely put a bit of a kibosh on the blessed features of spring that have started to emerge. We actually lost our power all day yesterday from the storm we had the night before, so there was no blogging yesterday as I had hoped. Today, I am sharing about creating a spring or Easter centerpiece with carrots.
We have a large group of kiddos and adults coming for Easter Sunday dinner. This week I have been completing some of the “last minute” tasks and working on menu planning and egg stuffing. My daughter usually helps me with this, but she is out of town with a school friend for part of their spring break so I am on my own!
Easter is such a special time of the year. Spring is just starting to bring its light, color and new growth around here. Living in Denver, our spring arrives a little late, but a few of our early bloomers are beginning to show their happy faces. Over the last couple of weeks, I have shared a few posts of some of my spring and Easter decor, so today I thought I would pull it all together in an Easter Home Tour.
Being so excited about the upcoming spring, I started early with adding some spring decor to our island in the kitchen. This season, I decided to keep things fresh and simple and mostly worked with just green and white.
Good morning! Happily, more Easter decorating is going on around here! We host a big group on Easter Sunday so I plan ahead for weeks for my Easter table setting. Easter is such a happy time and also gets us excited about spring. Having been through several Easter mornings in the past where we were buried in snow, we are crossing our fingers again for a warm day. So are the kiddos that come over for our big Easter Egg Hunt! Today, I am sharing our Green and White Easter Table Setting for the big day.
